Second Sunday of Lent / Le deuxième dimanche de Carême:





English:  Fr Adolphus preached on the Gospel reading concerning the Transfiguration, explaining that Moses represented the Law and Elijah the Prophets, both of which come together in Jesus Christ.  We are reminded that Peter suggests building three tents, one for Jesus, one for Moses and one for Elijah.  He thinks not of himself and his comforts.  Do we similarly wish to please Jesus without thought of our own comfort?  Peter also says "Lord, it is good for us to be here." Similarly,  it is also good for us to be at church in the very presence of the Lord.

After Mass, coffee and biscuits were served outside the church.

Français: Fr Adolphe prêché sur la lecture de l'Évangile qui concerne la Transfiguration. Moïse est associé à la loi. Élie, le prophète. Ceux-ci viennent ensemble en Jésus-Christ. t Pierre suggère la construction de trois tentes, une pour Jésus, une pour Moïse et une pour Élie. Il ne pense pas à lui-même et son confort. Voulons-nous de même pour plaire à Jésus sans la pensée de notre propre confort? Alors, Pierre dit: "Seigneur, il est bon pour nous d'être ici".  De même, il est  bon pour nous d'être à l'église en présence même du Seigneur.

Après la messe, café et biscuits sont servis à l'extérieur de l'église.
